At the LA Cancer Challenge we often hear stories of people running their first race or walking farther than they thought possible; individuals who rise to the challenge to make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer. No one has risen to the challenge more than Phil Kent.
Phil was diagnosed in November of 2012 and had surgery the following April. An avid runner, Phil has not let pancreatic cancer hold him back. With his wife Sharon, a nurse, by his side Phil ran both the 5 & 10K at the LACC.
Phil’s commitment to speaking about his experience, surrounding himself with a support team and beating the odds has inspired many, including his medical team at Kaiser. This year Kaiser joins the LACC as a sponsor and at Phil’s side as part of team Raging Health.
You too can rise to the challenge in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Join Phil’s team or start your own today!
