Being a part of the LA Cancer Challenge was so much fun! As former Marketing Coordinator at Milstein Adelman, LLP, information about the walk came through my email. The opportunity seemed like a great one as the firm also supports and represents victims of pancreatic cancer against the manufacturers of major drugs that cause it. It sounded like a fun & easy way to get the staff involved. After posing the idea to administration and getting it approved, there was some healthy internal competition between employees on whether to sign up for the 5K or 10K. It was hilarious. We then decided to design pumpkin-themed firm t-shirts with hashtags for everyone participating. When they finally arrived at the office everyone started to get excited. The day of, many carpooled with their officemates or members of their department and others brought their family. The firm hadn’t done a company-wide activity in quite a while and it was fun way to bring everyone together while also supporting an amazing cause that we also believed in.
