This is my 11th straight year that I will participate in this walk for pancreatic cancer. This was also the 11th year that I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer. This horrible disease robbed a father from me at such a young age of 49 years old. My dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer January 2001 and passed away October 9, 2002. He fought a courageous battle. I am very sad that I have experienced such loss at a time in my life when I really need him and wish he was
here. I cannot bring him back, although I would love too. I can however help raise awareness and money to fight this disease that caused such pain and sorrow for him and us who are left behind. I will honor him this day and walk for him and all the good he done in my life and the life of others. I miss him terribly. Please help me fight for early detection, research, and ultimately a cure.
